Landlords with property to rent 'will benefit from a recovering
market'

Landlords with property to rent have received good news from a
housing expert who said they will benefit from the recovering
rental market.
According to Chris Horne, editor at Property Hawk, this is the year
of "opportunities" for landlords.
He stated that property owners will have the advantage of low
interest rates and rising rents.
"Property prices are, if anything, coming down, which is good news
for landlords because it means that rental yields are likely to go
up on the back of falling capital prices but increasing rents," Mr
Horne commented.
He said that a lot of people are putting off buying property and
therefore there is a larger rental market for landlords to take
advantage of.
The property expert's comments come after a report published by
Upad revealed that 60 per cent of landlords were more confident
about the property market than they were last month.
Chief executive at Upad James Davis added that he expected to see a
rise in the demand for property to rent over the next six
months.
